Debra E. Best
Debra E. Best represents a variety of clients with a primary focus on real estate and business transactions. She has successfully negotiated and closed complex commercial as well as residential transactions. She has represented both private lenders and borrowers with respect to real estate secured financing; she has represented both buyers and sellers of commercial and residential real estate in connection with purchase and sale transactions; she has represented both landlords and tenants in connection with the leasing of commercial, retail, office and residential properties. Ms. Best has also been involved in the formation of numerous corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships and has significant experience advising clients with respect to structuring and negotiating general business transactions. Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Ms. Best served as an in-house attorney at a publicly traded real estate investment trust.
A Los Angeles-area native, Ms. Best earned her bachelor’s degree in English from UCLA. She graduated with honors from the Pepperdine University School of Law, where she earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Secured Transactions and contributed to the Pepperdine Law Review as a Literary Editor and author. She is a member of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Real Property Section).
